My work at Refactor Games
Powered by Unreal Engine 5.2, Trypophobia immerses the player in a dilapidated town's past through a thought provoking narrative with stunning visuals.
Welcome to the land down under, mate! I used UE5.2 impressive procedural generated content and lumen to create this cool rural australia visual.
This project was my first environment made in Unreal Engine 5! The graphics turned out great with the help of the Landmass, Water, Foliage, and Material Editor tools. My creativity came into play deciding how I wanted to sculpt the landscape, place rocks and plants around, and how to use these to create key focal points for the viewer. There are still quite a few issues in making the landscape realistic, such as jagged geometry and the water mesh not aligning to the landscape. I made the island from an artistic viewpoint rather than a mechanical one, and thus it does not feature any interconnecting gameplay mechanics. However, I plan on using my learned skills from this project to make levels that are sound both mechanical and artistically in the future.
